AI TV 2025

The C-Suiter’s Guide to AI: Cutting Costs & Finding New Revenue session is talking place Wednesday, October 25 at 2:25 p.m. as part of TV2025.

The event will provide “an executive view of the cost-saving and revenue generating potential of AI technology in both storytelling and selling advertising.”

The panel’s scheduled speakers are Morgan Murphy Media VP of News Colin Benedict, Gray Television VP News Services James Finch, Graham Media Group Director of Transformation Michael Newman, Newsbridge CEO/co-founder Philippe Petitpont and Ticker founder/CEO Ahron Young. It will be moderated by NewsCheckMedia Chief Content Officer and TVNewsCheck Editor Michael Depp.

Colin Benedict, VP of News for Morgan Murphy Media, discusses how generative AI can be a useful tool to modify or version news content and what station groups must do to stay abreast of impactful developments in AI. Benedict will be a panelist on “A C-Suiter’s Guide to AI: Cutting Costs and Finding New Revenue” at TVNewsCheck’s “TV2025: Monetizing the Future Event” at the NAB Show New York on Oct. 25.

Depp says the panel will “particularly emphasize the step change represented by generative AI and what it potentially means for how newsrooms and sales rooms function, the evolving roles of all employees around it and the implications for their bottom lines.”

From transcription, captioning and editing to speeding up producers’ access to archival video, highlighting trending stories and creating social media posts, AI is expanding its role in newsroom and programming operations while enabling new opportunities to license video.

The same technology is creating commercials and even creating AI-versions of anchors and presenters, who can host promos for overworked staff.
