Tell me about Clear-Com’s Gen-IC Virtual Intercom and SkyPort. What challenges is it intended to solve?

Gen-IC Virtual Intercom: This is a secure and flexible virtual intercom solution designed to integrate on-premises hardware with virtual intercom clients. It aims to solve challenges related to scalability, latency, and seamless communication in mission-critical productions.

SkyPort: This is Clear-Com’s portal for managing the intercom system and provide workspace management to our WW partners. It simplifies the management of multiple customer sites and events, empowering local administrators while maintaining robust support capabilities by the workspace owners who may be thousands of miles away.

What kind of feedback have you heard from customers?

Customers have reported excellent results, even in challenging scenarios. For instance, TV Globo’s engineers praised the system for its seamless communication and exceptional audio quality during high data traffic events. Additionally, during this year’s NFL draft, the system facilitated smooth communication among participants worldwide, highlighting its reliability and efficiency in connecting remote users of the system.

How do you see Gen-IC and SkyPort fitting into the market?

Gen-IC and SkyPort are designed to fit into the broadcast and live event production markets. With both of these markets adapting to remote and distributed productions along with hybrid working environments, Gen-IC offers a Tier 1 intercom system that can be deployed within minutes with no CAPEX investment. Moreover, Gen-IC easily integrates to existing hardware ecosystems eliminating any disruption to the current comms solution while greatly expanding the reach of that system.
